Today we finished the pictures we started in Class 4 … and (at least for me) try to gain perspective in the pictures.

Class 4 – Trees
By the way .. we decided to further our classes into the 10 class course! We are having a ball!
Class 3 – Basics
Basically you have to start somewhere … so, we started with a basic outdoor picture that had two distinct qualities … land .. and sky. Guy showed us, by example, ways to draw sky and ground and even include depth and colors. If you were to go back to the color chart … the picture would be more like the top half .. using water more to help blend colors I think.
Class 2 – Colors
We’re taking an acrylic painting art class … and although sketching and depth and shadows and all that is needed in order to paint anything … you first need to know the concept:

Today was our first class … We signed up initially for 5 week course – every Friday between 1pm and 3:30pm

My wife Yvonne and I decided to take an art class this year from a local Winnipeg artist we Guy St. Godard. We have crossed paths various times at various locations (namely Victoria Beach, St. Norbert Farmers’ Market, Lockport, etc) and also have purchased several paintings that hang proudly in our living room.
