Class 11 – Northern Lights

Filed under: Art Class — HART @ 10:30 am

Back after a week off from our Las Vegas trip, today we tried to do a “Northern Lights” type of painting. This basically entails making the canvas very wet and swooshing the paint around, and also trying to keep the foreground as a silhouette and not the focus of the painting.

Yvonne did a ‘mulligan’ and completed the picture on a 6″in x 10″in smaller canvas. I managed to speed paint again, and completed two 11″in x 16″in canvas. My second picture was something most will be finishing next class .. a winter scene.
